Almost perfect on an almost perfect ball

well,
today the missus went down for the captain's meeting for the thurs league at mt faber,so i be the ahmad(local lingo for driver),drove her down and while she was attending the meeting i went into the pro shop to kar jiao(local lingo for disturbing) walter...

something caught my eye and it was the storm reign in a very perfect specs, pin 3in,top weight 2.42oz and 14lb4oz

told walter to punch it up rico.

after drilling ball weighed with 1/4 side weight so basically no need to drill a balance hole as per rico drilling so instead of putting the balance hole 6 3/4" from pin we put the balance hole at my pap

went out for a few games testing the ball as i never had a rico with a x hole at a diff place

went to the lanes to try the ball cos the missus went to punch up a furious to replace her street rod solid which was given to my younger brother

took the lanes after a company event where most of them were noobs in bowling so naturally the lanes were kind crappy after their bowling

1st few shots was testing where the line/area was and i was getting washouts and such ending with a 180+ game
tested for 2 more games and had around 180+ scores

felling comfy about which line to bowl 10-10 and i was telling you there was no area to speak of on the lanes i was on ....cos once i hit anything from 1-5board,either washout or late turn

however once on the line, the ball was able to hold the line and carried like nobody's business especially when there were a few shots where the pin 7 was supposed to be standing but the pin3 hit the right hand side wall and ricochet off the side wall and went over to the left corner taking out the pin 7(lucky for me today no bet on pin7 also hehe)

and the result?
256

with a 9/ and 7/ in between both were results of sending the ball too far out to about 6 board

on 2 occasions i pulled in a little instead of playin 10-10 i played like 10-12 and it managed to stay the line hitting weak on brooklyn, the ball is just like a bulldozer pushing all the pins back taking out the supposedly standing 5s or 8s

on another 2 occassions i lofted the ball a bit further and the ball just went bang

highly versatile ball, can take out pin 7 for me

however not recommended for those who intended to send the ball out on oily outsides/carry down(based on the lanes i bowled on today)

one thing i was surprised is that with the balance hole at another place ,the ball still work in fact the oil ring was like about 2in away from the fingers and thumb, however i wont recommend on drilling the balance hole away from the 63/4 point unless u are ready for a replug :P
